Principal's Message Tēnā koutou katoa, We are very excited that work has finally begun on our canopy that will be built over the turf and the stage in the centre of our school! This construction will be happening over the next four weeks. The construction work will cut down our playground space for a while, but it will be worth it in the end! Thank you to all the parents of our senior students who attended our camp meeting. I very much enjoyed sharing how much camp can build and strengthen our kids. It definitely is an opportunity not to be missed. I encourage all parents to get behind your children in attending camp and making it a time to remember. NZEI is still in negotiations with the Ministry to make a call on our collective Agreement. We will keep you updated about any further action as we get word. Thank you for your continued support as Teachers fight for better pay and working conditions. As with everything that we do, it is to benefit the tamariki of our community! Jasmin Hansen-McKay, Acting Principal Easter Raffle Next week we will be selling raffle tickets for our Easter raffle. We have three amazing prizes up for grabs. Tickets are only $1 and you can buy as many as you like. Our kaitiaki will be going around to classes each morning to sell tickets. All proceeds will be going to camp. Room 2 Room 2 has been learning about the letter ‘L’ so they have made some very cute lions. They used paint and learned about mixing and for the lion's mane, they used a scratching technique for detail. They are very proud of their work. Culture Groups We are seeking some parents who would be available on Tuesday afternoons to run ongoing culture groups for students. It can be any culture- a chance to share dancing, singing and other performing skills. If you are available and would like to volunteer please email violet@rosebank.school.nz Justice of the Peace One of our Rosebank School staff, Gordon Gibbons is a fully certified Justice of the Peace so if you require the services of a JP, please contact Gordon Gibbons directly, 021912927, and make an appointment during school hours. | Upcoming Dates

Teachers vs Students T-Ball Today the staff took on the Year 5/6 T-Ball team at lunchtime. Such a great atmosphere, lots of fun, laughter and maybe a couple of controversial calls but the staff were victorious, only just 11-10. Miss Emma-Rose Owens was player of the match as decided by ESPN (unofficial). |
